Extron Cable Cubby 500 CCB (70-1125-02)

The Extron Cable Cubby® 500 CCB is a modular, furniture-mountable cable access enclosure for AV connectivity and power. It accommodates an AC or AC+USB power module and includes mounting hardware for Retractor Series cable retraction modules, AV cables, or AAP™ AV Connectivity Modules. The Cable Cubby 500 CCB remote control provides input selection for Extron switchers with contact closure ports. The enclosure’s patented modular design allows cables and AAP modules to be installed or serviced from the top. For fast installation, the Cable Cubby 500 has an integrated clamp system that quickly secures the enclosure to the furniture surface without the need for additional parts or tools. Power modules are available for the US, Europe, and other major world markets. The Cable Cubby 500 is available in a black anodised or brushed aluminium finish.

The Cable Cubby 500 is equipped with a number of Extron-exclusive, integration friendly features for fast assembly and installation. The integrated clamp system quickly secures the enclosure to the furniture surface without tools. Simply install the enclosure in the opening, slide the clamp up to the surface, and then rotate the cam to lock the enclosure in place. A lid damper ensures smooth, quiet operation that complements installations in high end conference rooms and board rooms. The Cable Cubby 500 includes standard connectivity hardware for mounting up to three Retractor modules, two AAP modules, or four AV cables. The AV connectivity brackets can be positioned to the left or right of the selected AC power module.

The Cable Cubby 500 US model features two unswitched US outlets and a 12 A circuit breaker for current over-load protection. In addition to the attached 9.5’ power cord, two 2’ power cords are included to power optional AV equipment and other devices.

The Cable Pass-Through Bracket features a unique, split-ring design that facilitates cable installation while eliminating the need for separate cable grommets. AC power modules are available for the US, Europe, and other major world markets. Most AC 100 Series AC Power Modules provide two unswitched AC outlets. An available Multi-Region AC outlet is compatible with a variety of AC plug types. To support the growing use of laptops, smartphones, and tablets in AV presentation environments, the optional AC+USB Power Modules provide one or two AC power outlets, and two USB Type-A or one USB Type-A and one USB Type-C® power outlets for powering or charging. The AC and AC+USB US AC modules include a 12 A circuit breaker for current over-load protection. US Cord models feature an attached 9.5’ power cord and two 2’ power cords to power optional AV equipment and other devices. Cable Cubby enclosures are UL/c-UL listed and CE compliant. Installation routing templates and other accessories are also available.

The Cable Cubby 500 CCB includes buttons that provide convenient control for Extron switchers and other devices that have contact closure control ports. Three brushed stainless steel push-button switches feature a raised surface for ease of access and tactile feedback, and LED rings around the switches provide illumination for visual feedback. Users can easily select inputs from the Cable Cubby 500 CCB without having to use the switcher’s front panel controls. Custom engraving is available for easy identification of switch functions.
