Extron RCP 401 Series are remote control button panels that allow remote operation of the SMP 401. User-friendly record, pause, stop, and mark buttons enhance the recording experience. Manage and save files directly to thumb drives or external portable drives through a USB port that supports writing speeds up to 5 Gbps. It also features buttons for swap and layout preset recall functions, streamlining the creative workflow. Status lights and audible alerts keep users informed of SMP 401 recording status. The RCP 401 Series includes a USB-C control cable for easy, out-of-the-box connection to the SMP 401. It comes in decorator-style, MK, and EU versions. RCP 401 Series panels include black and white faceplates for a wide range of environments. MK model is available in white only.

Extron RCP 401 EU Key Features

- Record button: Press to record one or more of the selected inputs. It will illuminate with a red Colour for the duration of active recording. This button features a tactile nub for ease of use.
- Stop button: Press to stop the active recording. As the recorded file is finalised, this button blinks. Once the file is finalised, the button illuminates solidly.
- Pause button: Press to pause the active recording. While the recording is paused, this button blinks.
- Mark button: Press to place a chapter marking in the recorded file. When pressed during active recording, the button momentarily blinks. The button also illuminates when JPG thumbnails are created. By default, thumbnails are created automatically. The interval between each thumbnail can be changed on the SMP 401 embedded webpage.
- Swap button: Press to exchange size and position between windows A and B. When pressed during active recording, this button illuminates for 5 seconds.
- Layout button: Press to toggle between up to 7 configured layout presets in the composite view. When pressed during active recording, this button illuminates for 5 seconds. This configuration can be set up on the SMP 401 Web UI.
Status and alarm indicators with buzzer: Status and alarm indicator lights with an audible beeping alert.
Executive Mode lockout: Provides restriction to access of controls.
USB port up to 5 Gbps: Supports recording to thumb drives and external portable drives at write speeds up to 5 Gbps.
Right Angle USB connection: Provides USB connectivity within an electrical box without a tight bend radius.
USB-C 6' (1.8m) control cable included: Ensures direct and easy connection to the SMP 401 for recording controls and portable USB storage drives.
Compatible with Extron UCS 900 Series: Extends USB over fibre optic cable up to 492 feet (150 meters) and supports signals up to USB 5 Gbps.
Available in decorator-style, MK, and EU versions
