C2-7300 has all of the video processing and conversion capability of the C2-7200, including all the powerful features and functions described in that section, plus a wide range of audio processing capabilities. For applications requiring advanced audio processing, including embedding or extraction of SD or HD-SDI audio, the C2-7300 is the solution.
Multiple Channels – The C2-7300 has full audio processing for 32 Digital Stereo Channels, 16-input and 16-output. An AES3-id interface is provided for each channel via a pair of 44-Pin high density connectors on the rear panel. The AES3-id format can be used directly from the connectors or these can be used to connect of a variety of breakout and conversion units. For example, the A2-7301 is a 2RU unit that interfaces to the HD-44 connectors and provides 16 input and 16 output standard AES3 Stereo channels on XLR connectors. Other model breakout boxes are available to convert to other audio formats, such as analog low impedance balanced.
SDI Embedding and Extraction – 8 channels of Stereo Audio embedding is supported for each of the two SDI inputs. 8 channels of Stereo Audio extraction is supported for each of the two SDI outputs. Both SD-SDI and HD-SDI formats are supported. Cross encoding is accommodated, so that for example, an SD-SDI input signal with 8 Stereo channels of embedded audio can be converted to an HD-SDI output signal while maintaining the embedded audio.
Edge Blending is a standard feature of the C2-7000 series. Because of the ability to ‘feather’ any or all of the edges, multiple images can be aligned vertically, horizontally, or both to create unusual displays. Since it is dual channel, only one unit is required to blend two edges. Using multiple units, there is no limit to the number of blended images. Edge Blending is not limited to high resolution RGB computer images, but can be applied to any input. Gamma correction is employed to compensate for many of the problems faced when blending between projectors. Special preparation of the video in advance is not necessary, since all processing is done within the unit.
Assignable Audio Channels – The Stereo Audio input and output channels are not limited to use with the SDI channels. The integral audio routing allows any of the 16 input channels to be associated with any of the 11 video inputs. Likewise, any of the 16 output channels can be associated with any of the video outputs. This routing capability allows for flexible mapping of audio channels when cross encoding between embedded audio for SD-SDI and HD-SDI signals.
