| Blank Slides |
| To insert a blank slide in your presentation first create a new slide using any style you want. When the slide appears, choose Format then Background Gallery. One of the options on this dialog is a blank slide, select it then in Backgrounds select a plain white background. Click on OK. |

| Bouncing in. |
| To make an object "bounce" into your slide try the following: Place an object in your slide where you want it to end up. Right click the object and select Object Animation. Click the Object Animation tab (if necessary) then Bounce in and select an appropriate speed (Fast, Medium, Slow). Press Ok to apply the changes. |

| Changing an individual slide background. |
| To change the background of an individual slide choose Format, Background Gallery. Ensure that the check box labelled "Apply selected Background to all slides in slide show" is not checked and select the background you require. |

| Enhancing photographs. |
| If your own Corel WordPerfect 8 or better, you'll find Corel Photo House on the installation CD. Photo House allows you to greatly enhance photo's which didn't come out quite right for your presentation. |

| Grid lines. |
| Using gridlines can make it significantly easier to design your slides. To switch them on and off select the View menu, Grid/Guides/Snap then Display Grid. This is a toggle command so will switch the grid on if it's currently off and off if it's currently on. |

| Making your presentations available over the web. |
| You can make your presentations available on the web by selecting the File menu, Internet Publisher, Publish. When the presentation is down loading off the web the user will be given the option to down loading a presentation viewer from Corel's site. |

| Moving individual objects within a clipart image. |
| When you insert a clipart image into a presentation, the image is made up of a set of individual objects grouped together. It's well known that you can rearrange these objects by ungrouping them but there is no need to to this. To move an object with a group (this applies to any group, not just clipart) double click the group then click and hold down the mouse button on an object within the group and move it to your hearts content. |
