Kramer VA-8xl Description
The Kramer VA-8xl/VA-16xl are high performance 8/16 channel balanced stereo audio amplifiers, designed for professional and high-end consumer audio systems. They feature a digitally controlled volume function from – 95dB attenuation up to + 31dB gain (amplification): in steps of 0.5dB. The gain setting is implemented during the "zero crossing" of the input signal, thus providing a noise-free transition without audible glitches, even at maximum gain settings. Outstanding audio specifications ensure that the VA-8xl/VA-16xl remain transparent even in the most critical broadcast applications. The amplifier gain of the Left and Right channels may be controlled together or separately, via front panel pushbuttons, remotely via RS-232, and via an RS-485 interface. Up to 15 machines can be daisy-chained in a single system using RS-485 or RS-232, allowing control of up to 240 stereo audio channels! The gain of the selected channel is shown on a bright 7-segment LED display on the front panel. Both machines are housed in a rugged, professional 1U rack mountable enclosure and ship with Windows®-based software.
